great access to beaches and parks for weekend strolls

I had a fantastic time exploring the area, as I was just a short walk away from Henderson Beach State Park, which was perfect for a relaxing stroll with beautiful views of the ocean, and also close to several great dining options like Jim 'N Nick's Bar-B-Q. this place truly made my weekend city adventure enjoyable and stress-free.

Beautiful room, beautiful pool, with a super comfortable bed and a great hot tub that allowed me to bring my pup along for a delightful weekend escape.

Liked everything.

The bed and pillows were fantastic, and check-in and check-out went smoothly. Unfortunately, housekeeping didn’t clean daily as promised, and I had to request towels twice. Just a heads up, there's a major highway to cross to get to the beach.

We had a wonderful time here, especially enjoying the spacious Queen Suite and the lovely outdoor swimming pool. The kids loved the breakfast options and the relaxing jacuzzi was a great way to wind down after a long day. The only downside was the TV placement which wasn’t ideal for watching from the couch, but overall, we really enjoyed our stay! 😊

Destin is a foodie paradise, and I stumbled upon some gems during my stay at Homewood Suites. Jim 'N Nick's Bar-B-Q served up some mouthwatering ribs that left me drooling for more. The friendly staff at the hotel made my mornings brighter, and the pool area was pure relaxation bliss—it was super clean too!

Now, I gotta keep it real. The breakfast was a letdown—no eggs or even waffles in sight, just sausage and biscuits! Plus, the splash pad was totally out of commission during our stay. Not cool for families with little ones itching to splash around!

Also, the close proximity to the beach made our daily trips easy and enjoyable. The staff, particularly Michael at the front desk, was friendly and helpful, making the check-in process smooth. On the downside, the splash pad was out of order the entire week, which was a letdown for the kids. The pool water was cloudy and uninviting, leading us to only swim once. Breakfast was a disappointment. there wasn't enough variety, and we noticed staff didn’t replenish items such as yogurt and bananas. Stains on the furniture and carpets detracted from the overall pleasant feel. Although we appreciated the modern look of the hotel and free parking, cleanliness definitely needs attention.

There's a hefty pet fee here which caught me off guard, especially given that some guests brought big dogs that left unpleasant surprises in the elevators. The splash pad advertised for kids was dysfunctional for most of the stay, only working on the last day without any prior notice, leaving little for young ones to enjoy. Breakfast offered minimal options and lacked variety, which didn't quite meet expectations. Common areas felt neglected with some rubbish lingering in the corridors and an overall worn-down vibe in places like the barbecue area and pool. it could really benefit from more attention and upkeep.

We had a Studio Suite with Two Queen Beds. The breakfast had freshly made options and tasty pastries. The room had a full kitchen with a microwave, stovetop, and fridge. The outdoor pool was fantastic. There was a fitness center and hot tub available. Really nice to have friendly staff like Michael at check-in.
